Mayfield and Easthouses Church

Opened in 1955, the Church was originally conceived as a hall church, with a separate hall opening some 10 years later.

A complete refurbishment of the Church was completed early 2019 with the Church now a focal point in the community with a café and New2U Shop.

We work in partnership with MAEDT (Mayfield and Easthouses Development Trust, The Midlothian Foodbank (Trussell Trust), Rotary Dalkeith and various Midlothian Council departments. Since 2022, our minister has been on the “Midlothian Remembers” Steering Group consulting and bringing together plans for a Covid memorial in the county. The second phase of this project was launched on Wednesday 7th February with appointed artist Yvonne Weighand Lyle and it is hoped that 3 seated areas in different places, with art work and gardens, will be created by summer 2024.
